Check out the Radial Rocket on the cover of the July 2005 issue of Sport Aviation, as well as the feature article inside. You can download the article from the EAA website: www.eaa.org. We flew a dawn photo hop with EAA while at Sun-N-Fun 2005, resulting in the great photos featured on the cover and in the article. Many thanks to the EAA photo ship crew and photographers - they are true professionals! The Radial Rocket was also the featured aircraft for July, in the 2007 EAA World of Flight calendar |

First Customer-Built Radial Rocket Is In The Air! |
Photo below taken in Mid-November 2006, shows our factory ship in formation with Milt Concannon flying SN 110, in primer and prior to the completed paint and interior shown above. Note the 6-inch wheels and tires on Milt's plane (standard on all production kits) as compared to the 5-inch units on our factory plane. You can also see the fixed step that Milt installed - makes that big reach up onto the wing much more manageable. The small fairing on the bottom of the cowl scoop, just forward of the exhaust, houses the inlet ducting for the Performance Airflow fuel injection system. Even with the yet to be trimmed exhaust pipes, larger wheels, step, and primer finish, Milt runs away from our 360 HP ship in his Fuel injected M-14PF powered Radial Rocket - approximately 420 HP! |
Milt's plane is very well equipped, featuring a dual EFIS IFR panel, autopilot, dual batteries, ground power receptacle, dual pitot/static sources, and built-in oxygen system. Empty weight is just over 1700 pounds. Milt has also installed the aux fuel option, which adds an additional 30 gallons to the standard 61 gallon capacity, for a total of 91 gallons. Milt reports an economy cruise of 205 KTAS (235 MPH) / 14.5 GPH at 9500 feet. |
